OneShare Health, a health care sharing ministry founded by a team of expert health care professionals, offers two levels of health care sharing programs — Classic, and Catastrophic — for individuals and families.
These programs are not health insurance but rather health care sharing programs in which groups of like-minded people come together to share medical expenses. Though established as a faith-based program, OneShare is available to anyone who will sign their Statement of Belief.
OneShare Health Care Sharing Programs
The most popular program is the OneShare Classic Crown, which combines low contribution amounts with a $1,000,000 lifetime maximum, and a $500,000 sharing limit per incident. Up to five doctor visits are included with a $40 visit fee.
(If you want to compare features and pricing on similar plans, also check out Prosper, and netWell Healthshare.)
The OneShare Catastrophic is the most affordable option and designed for major medical expenses. This program does not include preventive services or doctor visits.

OneShare Health Catastrophic
The OneShare Health Catastrophic plan is for people in good health who simply want Catastrophic healthcare protection, and are willing to pay more routine doctor visits on their own, or through a DPC membership.
OneShare Health Catastrophic
The OneShare Health Catastrophic is a high-deductible, cost-effective option designed for covering significant medical events. It’s ideal for individuals prioritizing lower monthly contributions while still having protection for major health emergencies.
Individual Sharing Amount (ISA): Analogous to a deductible in traditional health insurance, the ISA is the amount you pay out-of-pocket before the plan starts sharing costs. With the Catastrophic, you can choose a $5000 or $10,000 ISA.
Shared Charges After ISA: Once the ISA is met, the plan shares for essential health services. This includes hospitalization, surgeries, X-rays, lab tests, and diagnostics, ensuring coverage for critical medical needs.
Telemedicine Benefits: Access to telemedicine services is included, offering convenient medical consultations from the comfort of your home.
Emergency Room Fees: charges are shared after a $500 fee.
Emergency Room:Charges are shared after a $500 Visit Fee up to $10,000, then ISA applies.

An affordable plan
OneShare Health Plans has provided me with affordable coverage, and I appreciate their commitment to transparency. My only concern is the waiting period for pre-existing conditions. Overall, it’s a solid choice for those looking for a unique approach to healthcare.
Our family has saved so much money!
Our family of 4 has been enrolled with OneShare for almost 4 years. It’s perfect for not only basic medical needs but catastrophic as well. Their customer service team is always very helpful and the amount of money we have saved is a true blessing. Would definitely recommend!
Its not that bad!
OneShare Health Care Sharing Programs offer an interesting approach to healthcare costs, and I appreciate the sense of community. However, I’m rating them at four stars because the limitations on coverage and the paperwork involved in the reimbursement process can be a bit frustrating. It’s not as straightforward as I would like it to be.
Oneshare has work good for us so far
We have had Oneshare for over a year now and everything seems to be working just fine. However, we have not had to make a claim yet, so I guess we’ll find out when that day comes.
Seems like a great option!
Like some other people whose reviews I read, I was struggling because I was paying full price for health insurance. I’m an independent contractor, and I make too much money for an Obamacare plan. I was paying 1200/month for a family plan, which was ridiculous and they still didn’t cover everything I needed! So I went to look into my options.
With OneShare, my premiums fell to just under 750 per month! WIth no 20% coinsurance, and almost the same deductible or whatever they call it. Haven’t had to use it yet, though. So we’ll find out when the “Rubber meets the road,” so to speak.
Great alternative to obamacare!
My wife and I are Christian and strongly pro-life. We didn’t want to support an Obamacare insurance company or anyone else that covered abortions. So we looked around at several faith-based health sharing ministries. We considered several, and we chose OneShare.
They aren’t perfect. We’ve had some issues in the past getting an ER bill paid. Our dermatologist’s office wouldn’t work with us. But that’s because they didn’t understand how health sharing programs work. Once we ironed that out the process was pretty easy.
Overall I like the program
Had a bunch of questions but Lou spent a good deal of time on the phone with me and took his time answering them signed up on the spot because it’s much cheaper than my Obamacare Humana plan without a subsidy.
After I signed up they kept emailing me to sell me for some reason but overall I like the program. They shared a bunch of bills when my husband got COVID and spent a week in the hospital
We liked the telemedicine option
My wife is 61 and was afraid to go to the doctor’s office because of Covid but OneShare came to the rescue. They have a really good telemedicine program and we were able to do all our consults and checkups over a cell phone.
We also like being able to save so much money in monthly premiums. We haven’t had to do a big claim yet so we’ll see.
Great experience with One Share!
My spouse and myself joined One Share last year because we could save almost half on health insurance premiums (we’re self employed digital nomads and we didn’t want an HMO with a limited network since we travel so much) Anyway, my wife got hit by a car while riding her bike nd we had over 28000 in medical bills.
We had to pay 5000 out of pocket but One Share picked up the rest no problem. It probably helped that the hospital billing staff understood how health sharing works. 10/10 would recommend.
Kind of a hastle
Had them for two years. Then I broke my ankle skiing and had to go to the ER. Had a lot of trouble submitting the paperwork. I submitted everything twice. Had to make several phone calls to supervisors. First they only payed a third of the amount had to through it all over again, and use their appeal process.
Eventually they paid the amount, minus my contribution or whateve rthy call it. Not too impressed with their first outing.
Oneshare helped us save money!
You can definitely save money with OneShare Health. We earned too much to qualify for an Obamacare subsidy but not enough to afford health insurance for our whole family because we live in a high cost of living area. We used HSA for America who suggested we consider a health sharing ministry. With my husband, me, and my three children we’re able to save over 40 percent compared to our previous family plan from Aetna. Definitely continuing with OneShare!
Big Discounts for Diabetic Supplies
Our PBM recommended that we choose OneShare because of my husband’s diabetic needs. It came with a great discount program that is making all our supplies a lot cheaper, just for being a member. Most health shares don’t seem to care about diabetics.
Doesn’t Meet my Christian Values
OneShare claims to be a healthshare ministry but I don’t see much evidence of that. They just let everybody in. I miss the smaller Christian community that we used to have. I’m switching to MediShare.
Catastrophic Plan is the Most Affordable Yet
I looked at every “catastrophic” healthshare plan on the market, and this one is by far the best. I’m paying just over a hundred bucks a month, and I still get access to telemedicine services and a mental health program. Now all I have to do is stay healthy!
Maxed Out my Sharing Limit
I was in a serious accident last year … with some huge bills. My OneShare plan maxed out at $500K for the year. I know that’s a lot, but it still left me with some pretty serious bills to cover on my own. Check your plan’s annual limits before you sign up!
The 24/7 crisis line is a God-sent blessing
Although One Share isn’t as openly Christian as some of the other companies, I have no doubt that they are truly doing the Lord’s work with their cost sharing programs. I have a friend who has been getting free help with her mental health through OneShare … multiple free sessions a year and a 24/7 crisis line that she’s used on more than one occasion. That’s why I switched to OneShare, and probably for good.
Choose the ‘catastrophic’ plan to get the lowest costs
My health insurance guy told me that OneShare had some of the lowest monthly costs out of all the healthshare plans, so I decided to give it a shot. I’m in the “Catastrophic” plan, and I’m paying just over a hundred bucks a month for decent health protection. Thinking of upgrading to the Complete option next year because there’s no limit on sharing amounts.
It only took like 20 minutes to get signed up with OneShare
I had to go with health sharing because I missed the insurance deadline or whatever. I was able to sign up with OneShare right away. As in right away. My plan was up and running within 24 hours of when I first made the call. The folks that were helping me were really nice, too!
Lots of Provider Options
My advisor told me to take a look at One Share ever since they expanded their preferred networks. She was right … OneShare has a lot of options to choose from if you’re looking to keep your costs down. Totally satisfied so far … Will update my review if anything changes.
Fast cost sharing (just as long as its qualified)
Since meeting my annual portion, I’ve used my OneShare plan twice. Both times they processed the cost sharing in under a month, which is a bit faster than what the other healthshare companies can do from what I’m told. Just make sure that you’re submitting a medical receipt that is “qualified”. Actually it’s best to check beforehand, because if it isn’t on their list, they won’t approve it for sharing.
OneShare has better access for prescription drugs
Our family switched to One Share once we found out about their prescription drug program. We both take various medications, and having a little help with the cost each month is really nice. On top of that, we’re getting health protection for the ‘bigger’ stuff just in case anything happens. Super happy with OneShare.
Saving money with my OneShare plan
I switched to OneShare because an agent told me I’d be saving a few hundred bucks a month. So far, the savings have been pretty good. I’m in the Catastrophic program, which I think is the lowest cost.
OneShare helped us with our prescription drugs
My wife and I switched to OneShare from a different sharing program because we were looking for more help with our prescription drugs. OneShare has a discount prescription program that included the medications that we both needed. We’ve been super happy since making the switch.
OneShare offers mental health services
OneShare is better than a lot of the other HCSMs out there, primarily because they offer free mental health services. All members get 4 counseling sessions per year, as well as access to a 24/7 crisis line. This used to be one of the big things lacking with health sharing, but it’s good to know that at least one company knows how important it is.
Easy to sign up for OneShare
I was surprised at how fast it was to sign up for OneShare. Our family had a healthshare program up and running by the very next day. We haven’t been enrolled for that long, but if their service department is any indicator, I think we’re going to stick with these guys for a while.
OneShare’s concierge people are great
OneShare’s concierge people are great. They’ve helped me find a network provider more than once, and since they merged with First Health Network, I’ve got more options than I used to. I used to be on MediShare, but I’d say that OneShare is just a bit more modern.
The cost sharing is pretty fast with OneShare
The cost sharing is pretty fast with OneShare… Usually I get paid out within a month. But I didn’t realize that my Catastrophic plan had a per-incident limit on it. I’m thinking of changing it from $150,000 to $250,000 just in case something happens.
