Kaiser Permanente of Georgia

Kaiser Permanente of Georgia prides itself not only for its health insurance plans but also for the quality and personalized health care service it delivers to its members. Aside from the large network of top doctors and hospitals to choose from, Kaiser offers health programs that help you stay fit and healthy.

Choose Your Health Plan

Kaiser Permanente offers Georgia residents affordable and personalized health insurance options for individuals and families who are self-employed, employees without health coverage or who are waiting for coverage, those between jobs, students, and even early retirees.

You may choose Affordable Care Act (ACA) approved plans directly from Kaiser Permanente or through Georgia’s health insurance exchange  marketplace. Within Kaiser’s levels of coverage — Gold, Silver and Bronze — there are different types of plans that work in different ways, depending on how you want to pay for services. Also available is a Catastrophic plan; a high-deductible option for applicants under age 30 or those who received a hardship exemption through the Marketplace due to  financial hardship.

Kaiser offers a variety of health coverage options for its members:

  • Copayment Plans
Copayment plans have no deductibles but have set fees for most covered health services. The good thing about copay plans is that you’ll know upfront how much you’ll pay for the services like doctor visits. You also don’t have to worry about paying a deductible before your health coverage takes effect.
  • Deductible Plans
Deductible plans have low premiums requiring that you meet the deductible before non-preventive care services are covered.
  • HSA-qualified Deductible Plans
These plans have low monthly premiums in exchange for higher deductibles. Health savings account (HSA) plans are tax-advantaged accounts which allow you to pay for qualified health care expenses with pre-tax contributions. Contributions to your HSA grow with tax-free interest and your end-of-year balances are rolled over the next year.
