In all three options, services from in-network doctors are 100-percent covered and out-of-network doctor services are covered at 50-percent after deductibles have been met. Inpatient hospital care is covered at the same percentage: 100 percent for in-network and 50 percent for out-of-network once deductibles have been met. Note that your out-of-pocket annual maximums do not include deductibles.
Prescription drugs are covered only through participating retail and mail-order pharmacies. Access to participating pharmacies is available nationwide. Please refer to their website to locate participating pharmacies, or for more information about drugs on their approved list.
These plans also allow you to add an accident rider, which will cover up to $1,000 per accident, after which co-insurance, copays and deductibles apply.

Rates for Rocky Mountain Health Plans are not currently available on our instant quote page, and instead can be run here. The initial premium can be paid with a Discover, MasterCard or Visa credit card, but American Express is not accepted. For subsequent months, you may continue automatic monthly charges to your credit card or set up automatic monthly withdrawals from your bank account. If you choose to be billed instead, payments will switch from monthly to quarterly.
Rocky Mountain Health Plans effective dates are the 1st or the 15th of the month. Your credit card will not be billed until your application has been approved. For those who are already covered, it is suggested that you maintain your current coverage in force until you have received notice from either HSA for America or directly from Rocky Mountain Health Plans that your coverage has been approved and is in force.
Child-Only Coverage:
All health insurance companies selling individual plans in Colorado, and several other states, are required to make at least one plan available for child-only coverage. Rocky Mountain Health Plans make all SOLO Outlook and SOLO Outlook Active plans available for children applying without a parent or guardian on their application. The HSA plans are not available, though.
Rocky Mountain Health Plans provide child-only policies for all children under age 19 on a guaranteed-issue basis, without any limitations or riders based on health status.
Child-Only Open Enrollment:
The child-only open enrollment periods are the entire months of January and July in Colorado, but children who experience a qualifying event during a different month may apply at that time.
The open enrollment period must be followed by a 30-day waiting period before the child-only plan can take effect. Coverage will be subject to the premium in effect for SOLO plans as of the date the plan becomes effective.
Child-Only Qualifying Events:
Enrollment will be permitted for qualifying events consistent with Colorado law, which includes birth, adoption, marriage, dissolution of marriage, loss of employer-sponsored health insurance, loss of eligibility for Medicaid or the Children's Basic Health Plan, a valid court order mandating the child be covered, or involuntary loss of other existing coverage for any reason other than fraud, misrepresentation or failure to pay premiums.
Applications for enrollment following a qualifying event must be received within 30 days after the date of the qualifying event. Rocky Mountain Health Plans requires applications be received by the 5th of the month for coverage to be effective the first day of the following month. Applications received after the 5th of the month will be effective on the first day of the second month following receipt of the application. Effective dates are also contingent on receipt of any additional information that may be requested by the medical underwriter.
All of the above Solo Health Plans are Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) plans. Having access to the PPO network can mean substantial discounts in what you pay for your health care, even before you meet your deductible. Statewide, 3,000 providers participate in the network. You may search for providers at the Rocky Mountain Health Plans Provider Directory. Click the green “Find a Provider” button and select “Rocky Mountain Health Plans Network” from the drop-down menu by Network.
The process is very fast if no medical records are needed. Rocky Mountain Health Plans advises to apply at least ten business days prior to the time you need your new coverage to take effect. It could take less time, but if medical records must be ordered, the application process will take longer. Effective dates are on the 1st and 15th of the month.
If you have a pre-existing condition, please let us know before you apply so we can avoid unnecessary delays in getting you covered.
Underwriting actions can range from acceptance, request for medical records, placement on a higher rate tier and/or denial. Children up to age 19 will not be denied coverage. Final underwriting action will be subject to review of the underwriting staff and is contingent on the individual circumstances of each applicant.

“Your service is much different – BETTER ! ”
“When I decided it was time to get healthcare, just thinking about it was a daunting task.
Being able to contact a representative that can help find the best option out of many providers is a huge benefit to helping provide efficient and affordable healthcare to everyone. It makes finding healthcare so easy.
The process was fast and painless! For the first time, in all my searches for healthcare, it was easy to understand.
Your efficiency in helping find healthcare plans that work for individuals is the best service available because you are more diverse in what you can offer.
It is so helpful to have a neutral representative to talk with about what options are available. It's so much more comfortable than talking to a representative directly at a health insurance office. I've never felt like they had time to discuss options with me; it was always take it or leave it.
