When you’re a member of Harvard Pilgrim Health Care, staying healthy is a priority. There are lots of wellness programs designed to prevent disease and strengthen the body and mind, including resources that help members quit smoking and manage stress.

No matter what plan you chose, the following is covered:

20 acupuncture visits a year
in and outpatient care
ambulatory trips to the ER when necessary
one preventive screening every year
laboratory services
counseling and psychotherapy
pregnancy, maternity, and newborn care
preventive care and chronic disease management, and rehabilitation & habilitative services and devices
telehealth services at no cost

Harvard

Prescription drug coverage is based on a tier system, 1 – 5. Copayments for Tier 1 (lower cost generics) are less than Tier 2 (higher cost generics).

Harvard Pilgrim HSA Plans

Some of the Harvard Pilgrim HMO and PPO plans are HSA-eligible. Health savings accounts are tax-deferred and are meant to pay for medical expenses. If you don’t use the money, it rolls over yearly and continues to grow tax-free. HSAs are an excellent way to save money.

Harvard Pilgrim’s Hospital and Physician Network

Harvard Pilgrim’s network is comprised of 182 hospitals and over 80,000 doctors, so you don’t have to worry about not being able to find a quality doctor. Havard Pilgrim offers both HMO and PPO plans.
